My Story

Hi there! My name is Sandiswe Bhule, I am a Foster Parent, Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator in Zimbabwe. The inspo for becoming a Birth Doula & Childbirth Educator came from talking to my children’s biological parents and observing the parent-child interaction between them and their children. These parents loved their children, but for one reason or the other they had faced issues that led to having them placed with me as their parent by the Department of Social Development.

After some doing some research and a bit of reading I realised the connection between the journey from conception to child-birth and the relationship between parents and their children. Immediately I decided to be part of the solution and researched various options to help parents settle into their new roles better. It was then that I began studying to become a Birth Doula & Childbirth Educator to walk alongside parents and support them physically, emotionally and with information during this beautiful, yet challenging journey.

PURPOSE

Why I am here to help

If there’s one thing I learnt during my training, it’s that ‘YOU ONLY GIVE BIRTH TO THE SAME BABY ONCE’. It rings in my head constantly, and the intensity of the words never leave my heart! I want to share with you the importance of being intentional in the process from pregnancy to birth and beyond.

Because of this, I work to enhance the experience for more families to provide them with a firm foundation for creating strong families!
